IMPROVEMENT YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSION
This is the method by which, thanks to your body’s own growth factors derived from the platelets, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is created, which ensures that the stem cells in the skin develop into connective tissue cells (fibroblasts). It also stimulates the existing mature fibroblasts to cell division. Thereby, increasing the total amount of connective tissue cells. This is interesting, because the products of these cells; collagen and elastin, decrease in quantity, especially with aging. This causes the skin to lose its firmness and elasticity.
New fat cells can also be develop from the stem cells, making the treated area less flat. In addition, the effectiveness of the Biostimulation is enhanced by combining it with micro-needling by means of the Dermaroller. This ensures that the growth factors may also be admitted externally through the skin via the numerous micro-holes that are puncture by the Dermaroller.
The effect is a firmer looking skin and a general improvement of the facial expression. It slows aging and reduces wrinkles. In additon it fades scarring after acne.
What is the treatment?
When Biostimulation is applied, the body’s own serum will be injected that consists of concentrated growth factors. This serum is obtained by first abstracting 20 to 30cc of blood from and then it is centrifuged at a special speed. There are many kinds of growth factors. The following are important for the Biostimulation:
• Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)
• Platelet derived growth factor (PDGF)
• Transforming growth factor (TGF-1 en 2)
• Epithelial growth factor (EGF)
• Insuline-like growth factor (IGF)
• Fibronectin growth factor ((FnGF)
How long is the treatment?
The basic treatment involves 2 to 3 sessions. It is recommended to repeat the Biostimulation treatments annually, or semi-annually through the single touch-up treatment.
Does the treatment have any side effects?
After treatment, you should be prepared for some swelling and redness. This treatment is not suitable if you are taking blood thinners, or have bleeding problems as well as if you have acute or chronic inflammation of the designated area.
