Clinica La Siesta is an officially recognised test centre, certificate number A0159, approved by the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) and the Department of Health. With this accreditation, we can help you obtain your psychophysical test.

What types of licences can you obtain with us?

Driving licence: From 20€

In Spain, there are a variety of permits for driving vehicles. If you wish to obtain or renew any of these, you can do so at Clínica La Siesta in just one visit. We carry out the psychophysical tests, we take the photo for your licence digitally, we will issue you with your provisional driving licence and we carry out all the procedures with the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) for you.

What types of driving licences can I obtain / renew in Clínica La Siesta?

There are three types of licences:

Non-professional licences: those that authorise the driving of mopeds, motorcycles and cars.

Professional licences: those that authorise the driving of larger vehicles, normally used in the workplace such as trucks and buses.

Special licences: those that authorise the driving of vehicles under special conditions, such as agricultural vehicles or vehicles for people with reduced mobility.

What documentation should I bring to the centre?

– In case of obtaining a new licence: DNI or NIE

– In case of licence renewal: Driving licence

– In case of licence exchange: NIE and foreign driver’s licence

Once I have the psychophysical aptitude certificate, where should I go?

If you want to obtain a driving licence for the first time

After obtaining the Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate that we will give you in our centre, you should take it to your driving school. There they will take care of the rest.

If you want to renew your driver’s licence

In the case of renewal you should not worry about anything. We carry out all the procedures with the Provincial Traffic Headquarters for you without you having to go in person. At the same time we will give you your provisional driving licence, which allows you to drive within the Spanish territory until you receive your original licence directly to your home.

If you want to make a licence exchange from your country of origin

What documentation should I take on the day of my appointment with the Traffic Headquarters?

– Identity accreditation:

– ID card or passport

– Residence authorisation or identity document of your country or passport, together with the Certificate of Registration in the General Foreigners Registry (for EU foreigners)

– Residency Authorisation (for non-EU foreigners)

– Driving licence from your country of origin

– Passport-size photograph

– Certificate of Psychophysical Aptitude

In the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, you must pay the fees corresponding to the type of licence you wish to exchange.

Crane (grua) licence: 40€

Have you found work as a gruista and do not have your licence yet?

At Clínica La Siesta we grant you the Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate necessary to obtain and renew the self-propelled tower or mobile crane licence.

What documentation should I bring to your centre?

– In case of obtaining a new licence: DNI / NIE and passport-size photograph

– In case of renewal: ID card, licence and photo size card

* Do not forget your glasses if you have them and a medical certificate in the case of suffering from diabetes, heart disease, epilepsy, sleep disorders (apneas), etc

What should I do after obtaining the Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate in your centre?

– Copy of the Professional Training certificate or the certificate of professionalism (only if obtained)

What requirements must I fulfil to obtain the crane licence?

– Be over 18 years of age

– Have a Vocational Training certificate or a certificate of professionalism whose field of competence coincides with the subjects covered by the Regulations for Lifting and Maintenance Equipment and the Complementary Technical Instruction “MIE-AEM-2”.

– Pass the psychophysical exam, which can be done at Clínica La Siesta.

 

Weapons licence: From 25€

The possession of firearms is a regulated activity at national level and subject to the fulfilment of a series of technical and psychophysical requirements. If you wish to obtain your weapons licence, at Clínica La Siesta we provide you with the necessary Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate.

What is the price for obtaining the Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate?

– If you are under 60 years old: 40€

– If you are between 60 and 70 years old: 30€

– If you are over 70 years old: 25€

Nautical Licence: 40€

Nautical recreational qualifications for sailing of pleasure boats. These licences do not have professional character, therefore activities that include transporting goods or passengers for payment or hire, and sport fishing are not authorised. In Clinica La Siesta you can obtain the Certificate of Psychophysical Aptitude necessary to obtain this licence.

What requirements must I meet to obtain a nautical licence?

– Having reached the age of 18

– Obtain the Certificate of Psychophysical Aptitude

– Have passed the corresponding theoretical exam

– Accredit the realisation of the course or practical examination of security and navigation

– Have completed the radio communications practices or radio operator course of short / long range (Not necessary in the case of jet ski licences)

 

Licence of potentially dangerous animals: From 40€

In Spain, the possession of certain dogs or animals considered potentially dangerous is regulated by law. Both the owner and all those people who live with the animal or care for them, must have a licence to do so. At Clínica La Siesta you will obtain the Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate necessary for the processing your licence in a single day.

Which potentially dangerous animal breeds require a mandatory licence?

  • American Staffordshire Terrier.
  • Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
  • Perro de presa Mallorquín (Mallorcan bulldog).
  • Fila Brasileiro (Brazilian Mastiff).
  • Perro de presa Canario (Canary Mastiff).
  • Bullmastiff
  • American Pit Bull Terrier.
  • Bull Terrier.
  • Akita Inu.
  • Dogo de Burdeos (Bordeaux Mastiff or French Mastiff).
  • Tosa Inu.
  • Dogo Argentino (Argentine Mastiff).

  • Any other breed that meets all or most of the following characteristics:
    • Strong musculature, powerful aspect, robust, athletic configuration, agility, vigor and resistance.

    • Thoracic perimeter between 60 and 80cm, height at the cross between 50 and 70cm and weight greater than 20 Kg.
    • Bulky head, cuboid, robust, with wide and big skull and muscular and bulging cheeks. Strong and large jaws, robust, wide and deep mouth.
    • Broad, muscular and short neck.
    • Solid breast, wide, large, deep, arched ribs and muscular and short back.
    • Parallel, straight and stout forelimbs and very muscular hind limbs, with relatively long legs forming a moderate angle.

What requirements must I fulfil to obtain the licence?

– Having reached the age of 18

– Not having been convicted of crimes.

– Not having been sanctioned for serious or very serious infractions.

– Civil liability insurance for damages to third parties.

– Obtain the Certificate of Psychophysical Aptitude from Clinica La Siesta.

How often should I renew my licence?

Every 5 years

What documentation should I bring to your centre?

– DNI / NIE (if obtained a new licence)

– DNI / NIE and APP / PPP Licence (in the case of renewal)

What should I do after obtaining the Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate in your centre?

You must go to the Concejalía de Sanidad del Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja (Plaza de Capdepont, s / n) and submit the following documentation:

– Photocopy of the DNI, NIE or passport

– Psychophysical Aptitude Certificate issued at Clinica La Siesta

– Civil liability insurance policy and proof of payment of the last receipt

– Photocopy of the animal’s booklet showing the microchip number, the characteristics of the animal, as well as updated vaccinations.

Remember that once you have obtained your licence you must comply with a series of security measures when visiting places or public spaces:

– You must carry with you the licence “Licencia de tenencia de Animales Potencialmente Peligrosos” as well as the certification of the registration of the animal in the Municipal Register.

– The animal must wear a muzzle.

– They must have a non-stretchable chain or strap of less than 2 metres.

– You cannot accompany more than one dog per person.

– The animals that are in a farm, terrace or patio will have to be tied, unless an enclosed terrace with adequate enclosure to protect the people who access or come to these places is available.

– The loss or theft of the animal must be communicated to the Municipal Register within a maximum period of 48 hours.
